Preface

 This edition of F. A. N. Santos Pinto’s Fantasy for Tenor Trombone is based exclusively on the manuscript’s autograph, belonging to the collection of Ernesto Vieira, deposited on the “Biblioteca Nacional de Portugal” with quota M.M. 224//3. This urtext edition serves the purpose of practical execution. So, some modifications here assumed, going towards the modern instrumental practice. Indications of dynamics that we presume omitted by the author are indicated between parentheses. Similar inclusions of articulations are also indicated by dashed slurs.
