Graduated and Post-graduated in Piano at the Oporto University of Performing Arts (Escola Superior de Música e das Artes do Espectáculo) under Fausto Neves and Pedro Burmester.
From 1998 untill 2001 he attended the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music of Budapest (Hungria) where he studied Piano under Laszlo Baranyay and Chamber Music under Sándor Dévich and Nemeth Gèza (from the Bartók String Quartet).
He also studied Orchestral Conducting with Omri Hadari, Michael Dirttrich, Robert Houlihan, Denise Ham, Rudolfo Saglimbeni and George Hurst.
He teached at Conservatório Regional de Coimbra (Piano), Academia de Música de Espinho (Piano and Choir), Escola Superior de Música e das Artes do Espectáculo (Musical Analysis) and Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra (Vocal coaching, Chamber Music and Acompanement).
He teaches Piano at the Lisbon National Conservatory (Escola de Música Conservatório Nacional) and he´s the principal conductor of OCN- Orquestra do Conservatório Nacional.
He manteins a regular activity as a pianist, in solo reportoire as well as in chamber music. He´s regularly invited to conduct the Orchestra Filarmonia das Beiras.
He’s one of the founders of AvA Musical Editions.

Graduated in Flute at the Lisbon National Conservatory (Escola de Música Conservatório Nacional) under professor Ricardo Ramalho, in 1986.He participated in several concerts as a soloist and as a chamber musician. He also conducted several ensembles. He played at Gulbenkian Orchestra.
He teached Flute at Juventude Musical Portuguesa between 1984 and 1986 and at Conservatório de Música de Coimbra between 1987 and 1992 (Flute and Recorder). Also in Coimbra he cooperated with Projecto Minerva on Informats and Music. He teached on Tomar Summer Courses in 1988 and 1989.
In 1978 he participated in a workshp for musical edition by José Mocito. Since than he had been colaborating in musical editions to several institutions such as: Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Teatro Nacional de S. Carlos, Edições Asa, Editorial Figueirinhas and Museu da Música Portuguesa (on the edition of Fernando Lopes-Graça's works).
Nowadays he dedicates most of his time to research and promote Portuguese Music.

Graduated in Orchestra Musician – Tuba – at the Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra under Professor Sérgio Carolino.
He played at Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa, Gulbenkian Orchestra, Orquestra Clássica da Madeira, Orquestra do Círculo Musical Português and Orquestra Sinfonia B.
From 1998 untill 2000 he teached Tuba and Euphonium at Conservatório Regional do Algarve and Escola Profissional de Évora.
Since 1999, he teaches Tuba and Euphonium at the Lisbon National Conservatory (Escola de Música Conservatório Nacional).
He’s one of the founders of AvA Musical Editions.
