Maskerade – I wrote this short piece for Aldo Salvetti. It is a brief divertimento in five movements, of a simple and popular character. There are a few streaks of the grotesque: namely, in the parody of a classical minuet that makes up the fourth movement. However, the final movement, a little scherzo full of fantasy, contains bold writing that immediately distinguishes it from the others.
