Lisbon Clarinet's Quartet Collection The main idea starts in the transformation of a popular theme in a Jazz theme, but after writing some new material, beyond the initial idea, I decide that it becomes more consistent, if I keep the theme as it is, popular, and explore other Jazz features. After the first theme is finished, I chose another popular theme, and then idealize a central section of solo improvisations, which is open to all musicians. So, after the first theme (Milho Verde), this piece opens to solos, and ends with another Portuguese theme (Os Vampiros). A theme of popular origin, and a theme of José Afonso, together, with a bit of music that could also be popular or not. Lino Guerreiro
